We pride ourselves on being one of the premier High School tournaments in the nation. Below are what some people had to say about our event.
"We really enjoyed the intense competition of the TOC. We played against
the best competition we have seen all year."Charlie Ward - Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL.)
"The T.o.C. offered the Ankeny Hawkettes a much needed chance to deal with adversity under intense conditions. We faced playing down a score, overtime, a penalty kick shootout, the pressures of a championship, which all taxed us physically and emotionally. We will define ourselves with the help of these moments. Most importantly though, the tournament helped establish and solidify bonds that are necessary for a program to achieve success. The team is forced to spend time together, and this in its own right will be something the Hawkettes carry with them as our season progresses!"
Chris Allen - Ankney High (Ankeny, IA.)
"I want to thank you again for inviting our team to play in the "Tournament of Champions" in Iowa, we had a wonderful time. The trip to Iowa seemed to be a turning point in our season this year as we ended up finishing 2nd in the State in Class 3 in Missouri. The competition was good but it was just the overall experience that lead our girls to become closer as a team, we really got a chance to bond. We look forward to returning next year!"Tom Iffrig - Pattonville High
Wow! Your tournament is first class!!! There is no better tourney out there period!!Juergen Huettner - Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL.)
"I just wanted to say thanks again for letting us into your tourney. What
a great experience it was to see so many great teams all in one place.
Our girls, coaches, and parents all really enjoyed themselves and look
forward to next year. Thanks!"Todd Elkei - Homewood-Flossmoor High (Flossmoor, IL)
"Eric, Thanks is never adequate, but you always do a great job and handled the weather issues as well as any tourney I have been apart of."Jeff Rogers - Glendale High (Springfield, MO.)
"Thanks for your efforts during the weekend. As an A.D. I know how difficult the weekend was For you.VIZ plans on playing in next years tournament. thanks"
Paul Stoecklin - Visitation Academy AD (St. Louis, MO.)
"Just want you to know that despite the weather, change of times/teams,
etc., the Glendale Falcons had a terrific time as usual! We
appreciate all that you put into making this event a showcase. You
have been gracious, always have a good attitude and never are too busy
for anyone. So, from all of us THANK YOU and we look forward to next
year!"Jeff Rogers - Glendale High (Springfield, MO.)
"My daughter plays high school soccer for St Teresa's and we have traveled all over the country over the last 10 years for club soccer tournaments. I just want to congratulate you on one of the best soccer tournaments we have ever participated in - the fields, the officiating, the timeliness, the competition and the weather!! I know there must have been many hours in putting this together but it was really and outstanding tournament. Just so you know I have never written a tournament director before so yours really did far exceed everything we have been to!!! Thanks!!!"St. Teresa's Academy Parent (Kansas City, MO.)
"I really felt for (tournament director) Eric Stratman; the guy really worked his butt off to get this thing organized and it just seemed like everything that could go wrong did go wrong," Incarnate Word coach Annie Beekman said. "But everyone there was basically in the same position, so we did what we could to make the best of a tough situation."Annie Beekman - Incarnate Word Academy (St. Louis, MO.)
"Last blog I didn't have time to mention enough about Fun City. It was so fun; We're still talking about it. Ha Ha. Due to how well the tournament was run, not to mention the outstanding fields and how much great competition was up there, we were able to make it on Sports Illustrated online because our centerback Molly Smith was MVP of the tournament, and we had squeaked out a tournament victory in what I would think would have to be the toughest tournament in the country. Coach Ewing told us that Maureen McVey of St. Joseph High School in St. Louis had described the event as if playing three 3 state championship matches in less than 24 hours. That is good competition."St. Thomas Aquinas Player (Overland Park, KS.)
